Darlene Herron, LPCC-S, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation who provides many forms of behavioral health treatment to assist in your healing and improve your spiritual and mental health. Darlene provides therapy for children, adults and families.
Darlene has earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio Christian University in Counseling and her graduate degree from The University of Dayton. She has over 25+ years of experience counseling in academic, community mental health, church and private settings including many years of supervision, practice management and leadership experience. She is trained in specialized interventions such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Nutrition and Mental Health, Internal Family Systems, and The Gottman Method.
Her specialties include trauma, anxiety, panic, depression, codependency, abuse, grief and loss, parenting, marriage and relationship concerns, spiritual and religious concerns, children’s issues, play therapy, nutrition and mental health, wellness, leadership and workplace stress, and phase of life issues. Along with traditional approaches like Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative therapies, she utilizes a holistic approach that incorporates the body, mind and spirit with an emphasis on faith for those who wish to incorporate this in their treatment.
Darlene has experience and a passion for working with the unique issues and needs for those in ministry along with counselors and other helping professionals.
Additionally, she enjoys teaching, facilitating groups and retreats and provides training and education on a variety of concerns to promote wellness, positive spiritual and mental health.
