Luke Sargent is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) licensed with the State of Ohio, concentrating in individual, adolescent, marriage and family counseling. He has a primary office located in downtown Lancaster, OH and also has an office in Zanesville, OH. His offices also serve the surrounding areas of Canal Winchester, Lithopolis, Reynoldsburg, Pickerington, Carroll, Logan, and Athens. Luke specializes in the treatment of mood disorders (including depression, generalized anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder), spiritual & religious problems, marriage & relationship problems, communication, infidelity, sexual abuse recovery, anger management, stress management, grief & loss, phase of life problems, and personality disorders. Additionally, he seeks to help those serving within the church ministry setting and their families.
Luke earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2011, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2013. His clinical internship was completed at Smetzer Counseling Center in Ashland, OH where he gained experience working with a diverse population and providing supervised treatment for a variety of presenting problems.
By specializing in a variety of presenting problems, Luke is passionate about providing Christian counseling and professional care for others by walking with them through the pain, brokenness, and struggles that life unexpectedly brings. Additionally, he seeks to implement treatment by offering new perspectives in a safe, confidential environment and believes that life’s struggles can provide an unexpected opportunity and pathway to finding overall joy and healing.
Luke has experience speaking in church settings and leading groups, and is available to speak on a variety of topics. Additionally, he is a Certified Assessment Center Counselor for the Church of the Nazarene.
